WordPress FAQ.
Answers from NTx about rescue, modernization, replacement, security, and ongoing care of aging WordPress sites.
What do business owners ask about WordPress Rescue?
Do I have to approve a full rebuild to get help?
The assessment is the starting point. We can discuss stabilization and ongoing care separately from the replacement project, with the scope and pricing agreed before work begins.
Do I have to approve a full rescue to get help?
No. You start with a free site assessment, and scope and pricing are agreed before any rescue work begins.
Will my existing site stay online while you build?
The new site is built separately while we care for the existing site under the agreed plan. We schedule and test the final transition to reduce disruption. Any expected interruption is discussed in the launch plan.
Is WordPress always the problem?
WordPress can be maintained successfully. We assess your particular installation, dependencies, and business requirements to determine whether repair, continued maintenance, or replacement makes sense.
What will you replace it with?
The scope process determines the platform. We consider content editing, integrations, custom functions, hosting, security, and ongoing support before recommending the architecture.
Can my team still edit the website?
We document what your team needs to edit and include the appropriate content-management tools in the proposed solution.
Will we lose our content, search visibility, or integrations?
We identify what must carry over and include content migration, URL mapping, redirects, and integration testing in the plan. Search rankings cannot be guaranteed, but the migration should account for your existing search presence.
Is a modern platform maintenance-free?
Every platform needs care. We design for manageable dependencies and establish who handles updates, monitoring, backups, and support after launch.
How much will it cost, and how long will it take?
That depends on the current site, its dependencies, and the replacement scope. We agree on assessment and stabilization costs first, then define the rebuild budget and schedule through the scope process.
